Donovan Ward (click to learn more about our author!) Look, I know.  Fitness is hard.  Especially if you’re not “good” at it.  But nobody started out an expert.  No one crawled out the womb with a 6 pack, big biceps or a  firm backside.  The people you see on instagram or on TV have put years of work, and unfortunately sometimes thousands of dollars, into their bodies.  Fitness is a skill, and while genetics do play a part in ones body composition, with consistency and dedication it can be changed and you can achieve whatever fitness goals you desire.  Just like anything else in life.  Think about something you love to do: drawing, writing, a sport, whatever it is.  Once you found out you were good at it, I bet you worked tirelessly to get as good as possible.  Put that same energy into fitness, and I promise you will achieve the results you desire.  Not tomorrow, not next week or even next month.  But you start to see progress, it becomes addicting and you won’t want to stop.  On that note, here are 10 things I wish I knew...

Spring time comes with lots of new beginnings, along with a whole new set of delicious fruits and veggies that are in season. This spring, I have enjoyed snacking on strawberries. Strawberries are so easy to grab, and also provide a great source of nutrients. They make me full while also satisfying my sweet tooth....

During the holiday season, I am always on the go whether it’s with school, prepping for Christmas, or attending holiday get togethers. I usually buy prepackaged, lightly salted cashews which equals out to about a handful. They are super filling and delicious! ...

This is the perfect dupe for mashed potatoes, with less calories, but never less flavor or creaminess. Let me know how this turned out for you! Share a photo and tag us!! Xx Ingredients  1 medium head cauliflower 1/2 cup of almond milk  1/4 cup light Parmesan cheese 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic  1/2 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh or dry chives, for garnish 3 tablespoons unsalted butter Instructions:  Set a stockpot of water to boil over high heat. SKINNY POP! Skinny Pop has been my go to snack for awhile. It is light and healthy with the same salty, buttery taste. I usually fill one sandwich sized Ziplock bag each day and throw it in my lunch box. Below are the nutrition facts. It only has 3 ingredients: popcorn kernels, sunflower seed oil, and salt. It’s ridiculously good!...

THIS FALL, THE SPOTLIGHT VEGETABLE IS BROCCOLINI! I have been eating broccolini almost every night for dinner and sometimes for lunch! There are so many amazing ways to prepare it and it tastes so amazing. One of my favorite ways is to marinade it in lemon juice, salt, and pepper and then char them on a griddle. Broccolini is good for you because . . . It is a rich source of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and Vitamin K Contains calcium, folate, and iron Contains antioxidants Fat free, sodium free, and cholesterol free Contains lots of FIBER!! Fiber is important to fight things like obesity and diabetes ...
